In a video posted by "Model Pranksters" on YouTube, a social experiment was being conducted seeking to determine whether appearance would play a role in people's act of helping an injured person.
Two (2) accomplices were used in the social experiment. Both of them, while using crutches, feigned stumbling to the ground. The catch is, one accomplice is wearing a suit and tie (to show that he is well-off in life) while the other accomplice is wearing rags like a homeless person.
From the video, it was shown that most people preferred to help the "decent-looking" accomplice than the homeless-looking one. It was also shown that there was only one person who helped the homeless-looking accomplice.
The social experiment yielded heartrending results. It is quite sad and disappointing that most of the people in the video were affected by the appearance of people before they offered aid and assistance.
It is hoped, however, that the case would be otherwise for other people. It is believed that there is goodness in every person and that one should still believe that there is hope for humanity.
