There is really goodness in people, moreso in innocent little children. Who would have thought that among the people in a waffle house, a 5-year old would do one of the kindest acts towards a homeless person?
This is the story of Josiah Duncan. He is a 5-year old kid who offered his food to a homeless man in a waffle house at Pratville, Alabama.
Josiah first noticed the homeless man who was outside the waffle house and wondered about his status in life. It was through his mother, Ava Faulk, that he knew that the man was "homeless."
At first, Josiah did not have any idea as to what "homeless" meant. Upon asking his mother, he asked her to buy the homeless man a meal to which the mom agreed. They then invited the homeless man into the waffle house.
At first, the homeless man was hesitant to enter the waffle house, but Josiah and his mother insisted that they pay for his meal. According to Ava, when they entered the waffle house, no one in the hall ever bothered to take notice of the homeless man.
Since Josiah and his mom insisted on paying for the homeless man's meal, the said homeless man ordered the cheapest meal on the menu. However, they told him that he can have whatever he wanted on the menu. The homeless man then proceeded to order bacons.
What is more touching is that Josiah asked the homeless man if they could say grace with him. Josiah then proceeded to sing loudly, thanking the lord for the meal they were about to receive.
Upon noticing this act of kindness and generosity, the people in the waffle house were moved to tears.
Later on, Josiah's kindness was reported on the local TV news.
Ava expressed how proud she was of Josiah.
Truly, there is kindness in every person, especially in the little children.
