Make-up has been used by humans as early as the ancient Egyptians in order to accentuate a certain appearance.

In this case, the shadow appears more natural since it follows one's bone structure. Chloe has also demonstrated on how to highlight one's jaw line in order to have the appearance of a "chiseled look."
