The 87-year-old man instantly became an internet sensation after someone uploaded his photograph on the internet. A lot of hearts were really touched by what they saw!
Meet John Silva, the man in the viral photo! This man claims that he had no idea that someone took a photo of him all he know is that he was lucky to marry the girl he love.
According to Mr. Silva, he was 17 when he first saw Hilda, his late wife, when he was a baseball player. He missed a catch and the ball landed on the feet of his late wife. He then told Hilda right there and then that he would marry her.
But then he got his heart broken after he failed to see Hilda again. He wasn't able to see Hilda for 10 years until one day, his father asked him to bring a sack of potatoes in a friend's house.
He was surprised because it was Hilda, who opened the door for him, the first thing he asked is if she's married and she said no. Meanwhile, the father of Hilda was a great friend of Mr. Silva, he knows everything about the 'love at first sight' story of Mr. Silva and he even told him that whenever he finds that girl, he should be the one to meet her first! But he was quite surprised to know that it was his daughter!
John and Hilda were together for 55 years until she left him six years ago.
