True friendship is one of a kind. There are certainly those kind of people who would do anything, regardless of how weird or uncanny they may be, just to prove their loyalty and love for you. In this particular story, a man keeps a promise he has made for his best friend.
Private Kevin Elliott and Barry Delaney had an agreement years before if one of them dies and the other outlives the other, the survivor shall wear a bright frock in the other's funeral.
Years later, Private Elliott was deployed with a military unit to Afghanistan. He later met his demise while patrolling the Babaji District of the Helman Province in the said country.
During the funeral, Delaney, ever true to his word, honored his agreement with Elliott and wore a bright green frock at the latter's funeral.
At one tear-jerking moment, Delaney knelt beside Elliott's grave and jokingly inquired whether he (Elliott) liked the color of the frock he (Delaney) donned. Delaney finally broke down into tears while the idea that they would no longer be able to laugh at how silly Delaney looked sanked in.
